What made you want to become a teacher?: I’ve always been intrigued by the power teachers have to transform students and bring on the bright lights in a developing young mind. I was lucky to have some teachers that brought on those “aha moments” for me and awakened my mind to new ideas, thoughts, strategies, etc. In my first career as a pediatric nurse, teaching was an important link to patient care as patients learned how to treat and care for their illness. It was a natural transition for me to start teaching students in school and now I get to share my passion of reading with them!
